FRIENDS! I’m back. I’ve been away from Palermo for over 2 weeks. The first week we spent in Germany and the other week I went to Orlando for a photo job (Orlando pictures will be posted tomorrow or so). Being back in Germany, in my hometown was tons of fun but really weird at the same time too. Everything was so familiar but a lot of things changed as well. I know it’s selfish but realizing that things are changing even when I’m not around was kind of shocker. Kind of !

Then we attended our first gay wedding (besides ours of course) and they celebrated HUGE. My favorite part was when the couple came out of the city hall all dressed up after they just signed the papers and people passing by and just couldn’t figure out what was going on and they were kind of waiting for the brides!

This makes me so proud to be German – so proud I could go through a roof. Yes – No – Yes – I can’t hold myself back from dancing. Where are my rusty Lederhosen? I hope I didn’t bunk them in our self storage container in Valencia. This is so genius, they deserve an instant Grammy. How can you feel down when listening to this tune. You better get schunkeling. If you know what I mean.

People in Germany have been very skeptical about Google Street View – they tried everything to prevent Google from scanning their streets. Well, it has been decided now and Google Street View cars are scanning the neighborhoods. Above image is the proof again that being a Google Street View driver is the best job on earth. I mean – it’s better than watching TV. On the other hand everyone with a car could do and see the same thing. Just drive around and waste some gas!

Why is that dude walking around with a dildo in his jacket and why does he think it’s a great defense against a police arrest? You tell me first and then I will tell you. Build your own smartphone is a great now concept by a start-up company from Germany (hope they will be creating a better product than the peeps from WeTab). Synapse’s concept is simple – you only pay for the phone you need. The basic model starts at about $400 and the model with all the bells and whistles will set you back $940. What the bells and whistle exactly are, I have no idea since their server is swamped by traffic right now and I couldn’t access their official website.

Before I give you some data for a medium priced model of the the Synapse Phone you should know that this beauty runs on Android 2.2:

A homage to Berlin – I grew up in a small village south of Frankfurt of Main – moved to the US and then lived for 5 years in Berlin. For me it’s hard to pin down HOME, especially now with our Travel Project FOR 91 DAYS. But if someone would force me to name a home it would be Berlin. Yes, I do miss it and yes if you consider visiting Germany … honestly skip anything else and visit Berlin!

Just imagine you could drive to the premier of the new Pokémon movie in this vehicle – bring your date and I already can hear the wedding bells! This is the original bus from Nintendo Germany and was used for the Pokémon Day Tour to put smiles on Pokémon fans all over Germany.

Will the ears wiggle when you hit the horn (well, as I just read – the horn is defect)

Talking of Android … my iPhone is broken, it can’t find anymore Wifi signals. I reset and re-install everything there is but I still had no luck. Man, stupid 3G was just a little over 2 years old. Come on!

Since I said I never ever will go again with an Apple product I stick with it. But I would be more than happy with the new HTC Desire HD, the LG Optimus Chic or any other similar smartphone. But which one?
