Thanks to some pretty nifty physics (or meteorology skills) the water level in the adjoining tube will rise and fall depending on the atmospheric conditions. If the water is high up the tube, the chances are it’ll rain. If it’s low down, the skies should be clear. Much like an old school barometer this smiling amphibian has been known to get it wrong from time to time, but generally he’s spot on. Perfect if you’re in two minds about taking a brolly.

I think Alpine Rollercoasters should be added as a way to get around in hilly cities. Actually Cable Cars ( the real one hanging on masts) and alpine rollercoasters! Man It would be incredibly fun to get around. Zipping through the city like there is no tomorrow. Hmm, wondering if there could be also a traffic jam on an Alpine Rollercaster track. Probably. Somehow they would have to make sure that they are all going at the same speed or something.

You probably picked up by now that Mike and I are travel bloggers. We can pack all of our belongings and be ready to move to our next location within 30 minutes (yes, we’ve timed ourselves). So everything we own has to fit into two suitcases and one big bag. Every time we move, we find ways to reduce the amount of luggage. So when I heard about the Urshuz concept I thought it sounded perfect for us. Now I can have cool summer shoes and flip flops in one.
It took some practice to master snapping the hooks over the soles, but soon I was changing from shoes to sandals pretty quickly.
