Today was a religious holiday in Valencia to honor the Virgin of the Forsaken – As you know Valencian’s are crazy for fireworks they set one up just for the Virgin Marie (see above). It’s short and sweet!

So this post is to  say sorry that there will not too many posts RGS in the next couple of days and to show off some videos I shot with the Canon 7d (there will be links leading you to a post where you can see pictures I took with the 7d)

The videos are still very jumpy due my old CF Card which is to slow but the new faster card is on the way. Also, since the Canon is pretty heavy and bulky I will be using the Sanyo for every day shots and the Canon when I use oh la la arty videos (from a tripod). I just can’t see myself carrying around a tripod all day long.

What do you think of the video quality of the Canon 7d ? As soon as the Sanyo arrives I will be posting an example video of the VPC – CS1.

Only 48 more days and I will be annoying you again with Fallas from Valencia. On February 28th is the charming awakening of the city and the events will be going on and on until the main days which are from March 15th and 19th.

That’s when you come, the last 5 days are the most interesting days to visit Valencia. This festival will be the craziest thing you will ever experience in your life and will be burned deeply in your brain. Why not visit Valencia for Fallas 2010!!!

Why I’m I writing about it that early? Because right now tickets for flights, hotels and hostels in Valencia are still pretty cheap. But prices will explode soon. Last year in a shared hostel room … a bed was over $200 per night. So booking early is an argument.

I need Zen, relaxation or just plain anything RIGHT NOW! Today starts Fallas for real. The last 5 days are the most insane, out of control barely sleeping days.

Thinking about the last 5 days gets me excited and super nervous as well. My brother will experience his first Fallas and I have to pick him up in 2 hours. He never saw a Mascletà ( I will tell him that people are just gathering for a traditional Valencian Dance … EVIL!) and I kind of stopped talking about what is going on right now here in Valencia. So he will be more than overwhelmed!!!

Posting there for on RGS will be to a minimal but on the 20th I’ll be back to a normal blogging schedule but in the meanwhile experience Fallas on our Valencia Blog – even live via Fallas Twitter. After Fallas I will finally shut up about it except for maybe one more post. Explaining in deep what Fallas really is. And maybe he gets you excited to visit Fallas 2010 yourself.

Not really sure how to put it but this week was INSANE! It was almost too much – still can’t believe that right behind our house a theater as big as a city block collapsed right behind our house. And I think it took at least 3 days after the fire to release how lucky we were that our house didn’t catch fire.

Fallas is a full swing (12 more days to go) and today is one of the busier days and yes I will be attending all 5 Fallas highlights (just in case you were wondering ). We went to all daily Mascletàs (Don’t know what it is? Click on the link to watch a Mascletà Video in HD) and they also have them rarely at night called Color Mascletà. I took above picture at one of night ones.

Fallas is insane I mean Paella street cooking:

Everyone made it nicely into the new year? This was probably first day of New Year’s Eve to welcome the new year without a firework – NONE! Secretly I was hoping there was still going to be one but I had to be happy with couple of grapes I had to force down my throat! To be honest I spit out the first one and skipped right to the Cava !

But Valencia made up for the missing fireworks and started the new year with the biggest Mascleta (Sound Fireworks). Which got rid of my hangover! Watch the video here.

Movie fans and freaks perk your ears. On Criticker (your favorite movie recommendation site) we launched a sweet new feature. We introduced Movie Collections on Christmas Eve (which was a mistake since there were still tons of bugs) but response by our users were overwhelming.
