For several reasons I thought I have to post this video. Well one is … as you know we are now in Sri Lanka (and having an incredible time, this island is a true paradise) and people here eat with hands. This makes me feel like a kid again. Here you are encouraged to use your fingers to eat and it’s fun! When in a local lunch place ( they are called hotels) and eat with your fingers as a foreigner you gain instant respect. They stare and watch every bite you take but smile and nod as well. Weird!

The other reason is, we are in the city of Kandy. So here you go, that’s the reason why I had to post this video. Enjoy !

Japan is of course a place with a strong culture of calligraphy so it’s no surprises that it has given birth to some fantastic innovations in brushes. Not too long ago we spent a weekend in Madrid and one of the things we wanted to visit was the Prado. Unfortunately it’s closed on Mondays – the day we planned to spent all day long in a museum. Now I’m kind of happy – we got to see the incredible Sophia Reina Museum and we have an other reason to visit Madrid again. I loved the fact they were allowed to take pictures (of course without flash) in the museum, except for the Guernica (I’m so sneaky )
