The perfect alarm clock for me!

The 35 mm film is no more thanks to digital photography, but you can still pay homage to the heyday of film photography with this digital (yeah, ironic, huh?) I’m posting this because this is probably the coolest thing we have done since we are in Savannah. The Bonaventure is a true magical place and I kind of want to go back there early morning on a misty eerie day. But on that day I will make a huge way around Little Gracie Watson (she freaks me out):

In life, the vivacious daughter of the manager of the Pulaski House had been beloved by neighbors and well-known to the hotel’s guests. But pneumonia didn’t love Little Gracie. Pneumonia snuffed her out at the age of six. Her grief-stricken father commissioned the statue to mark her grave, and ever since, there have been rumors of the soft sobbing of a little girl in Bonaventure. The statue supposedly sheds tears, and screams out at night if someone removes one of her flowers.

We had a blast in Denver – Mike was in Denver couple of years ago and said it has changed a lot. Lively downtown, tons of art, great food and nature. The view of the slightly snow covered tips of the Rocky Mountains is unbeatable. So, in case you ever wondered if Denver is worth a visit – it is …. double thumbs-up from us.

Talking of worth a visit. We made it to Savannah and are loving it. It’s so different compared to any other place I visited in the US. I especially love the trees covered in Spanish Ivy which makes them look like haunted Christmas trees. Check out our arrival in Savannah.

Hello Folks! Taking the portraits yesterday were a great success and I already got some great pictures of Denver to get along with the photo-assignment. Here couple of images I won’t be able to send to my client but thought they were interesting enough for Random Good Stuff !

Denver has a more lively Downtown (not like ATLANTA) and have seen most of it yesterday. Especially like Market Street and Lower Downtown with it’s strange sculptures and architecture. I also thought this building with the Arabic ornaments were cool too. It reminded me a lot of the Alhambra in Granada.

Yesterday I also tried to find a good Sim card deal with broadband so I can use my iPhone during the stay here in the US. Used to pay 6 Euros min. usage incl. 300 MB but I seem to fail to find a similar deal. Oh well, I keep hunting.

My flight back to Spain left from JFK – so I took the Megabus from Philly to NYC (which incredible) and thought I just could have my suitcase locked at Penn Station or one of the nearby hotels.

NOPE!

I was running around like a maniac to get rid of my suitcase – to get some great lunch, do some pictures taking, shopping (Spain just doesn’t have my sizes) etc.

After 1 1/2 hours I gave up – it’s just ridiculous  and very very travel unfriendly! I was shocked. I get the whole post 911 thing. But … I can check-in my suitcase and fly with it. Why not scan my suitcase before you lock it? And just asking for a luggage room makes you feel like a terrorist. HATED IT!

So I went my suitcase Madangsui for some awesome Korean BBQ ( I’m so hooked now after Kimchi Princess in Berlin) see pictures below –then sat around Herald Sq. for some people watching and then head to JFK to sit around the airport for 8 hours. HAHAHA – that was so much fun and pretty much I expected to spend my 7 hours in the city.

Talking of not very traveler friendly – It’s just weird there is no direct public train direction from Manhattan to JFK!!!

Here my impressions:

During the bus sequence ( going through the Lincoln tunnel) you can hear this woman talk – she was unbelievable, she talked during the whole bus ride without taking one breath.

I have been now home in Valencia since Friday but still have to fight my jetlag. 2 time changes within 4 days was just too much. On my last day in Philadelphia I had a full day just to walk around and do couple of sights. Really liked the Mütter Museum (see shrink heads below), the Mint was kind of cool, doing the Rocky Stairs and walking around Philly South Street. And and especially cute was the Philly Cupcake Store… didn’t buy anything there but was tempted (didn’t want to loose my mankini figure).

I will be leaving for Philadelphia soon for a photo assignment – I will be taking portraits of a Doctor during and after an interview. After that I have one day off to explore the city and to take some pics and the next day I fly out from NYC and even have some time to hang on/in Manhattan for couple of hours.

Where can I get the best Philly Steak? Great areas to take some pictures? Best shopping mall in Philadelphia (I just can’t find my sizes here in Spain)? And is there anything fun going on next week in New York City I should not miss?

Any tips would great!!!!!

P.S. Who else watched USA vs England World Cup Game yesterday? It was incredible – I’m totally rooting for the US!!! But England played great too, the first goal in the 7th minute was such a shocker.

Vienna? Wien? It’s all the same! I already shared with you a great Vienna moment, the “Arse Bar” and it seemed like the RGS went nutz for it with 28 retweets!

Vienna was incredible – I love the food, the beer, the architecture. Hanging out in a Kaffeehaus for hours waiting until some sun comes out. Hint* all 5 days in Vienna was rainy like this:
