But it has such huge impact of people living here in Valencia and it is the 2. biggest street Festival on earth.

Not really sure how to put it but this week was INSANE! It was almost too much – still can’t believe that right behind our house a theater as big as a city block collapsed right behind our house. And I think it took at least 3 days after the fire to release how lucky we were that our house didn’t catch fire.

Fallas is a full swing (12 more days to go) and today is one of the busier days and yes I will be attending all 5 Fallas highlights (just in case you were wondering ). We went to all daily Mascletàs (Don’t know what it is? Click on the link to watch a Mascletà Video in HD) and they also have them rarely at night called Color Mascletà. I took above picture at one of night ones.

Fallas is insane I mean Paella street cooking:

…. bizarre kids parades (the one girl is kind of sick of FALLAS already !):

and so much more … Don’t worry I will be bugging you with more Fallas stuff. Don’t worry.

Which is a traditional Valencian sport. But highlight of the week was the beginning of Fallas with it’s Cridà.

Work wise I was a little slow on RGS but we pushed out Lastminute Auction France. But I warned you that once Fallas starts I will be spending more time away from the computer and less blogging. On the other hand I’m going to share with you photos and videos from probably one of the craziest festivals in the world.

Fallas is just around the corner – which is a sign for me that 2009 is almost over. Yeah, I know .. not really but starting February 22nd there are things lined up until July. Eeek! The next couple of month are just going to fly by.

Above you see one of the many pictures I took of the Ninot Expocisio in Valencia which get me very excited for Fallas – I can’t wait!

I got some exciting news I ‘m almost ready to share with you – things are not 100% but I got invited to do a photo documentation at very cool fabric in Germany. They produce fun and well designed household items. Some of you already might be able to guess where I’m going .. Shhhht! It’s going to be fun and colorful.

We had a very stormy week here in Spain – 25 people got killed. Valencia got lucky and didn’t get hit as bad but sleeping at night was nearly impossible with all the wind howling. But strong storms doesn’t hold back Valencians from playing their Sunday soccer.

This week I got infected by the Twitter Virus. I’m twittering for a while now but last week this happened:

BOOOST – so I opened up a Movie Twitter account for Criticker and a Tweet für the German Version of RGS. What’s happening now is me logging in and out all the time and sending tweets from the wrong accounts. I wish there would be a better solution than Twhirl or Twittgerfox.

We went to Ikea last Saturday which was an success – we got totally different things what we initially planed on buying. We got a sofa and we are loving it.

The following pictures will explain why I love Ikea so much:

It took a while building it but … it’s was super cheap and I just love Ikea design. Here in Valencia not too many people know about Ikea so we are not nervous that people could spot out right away that this is a Ikea sofa. In Germany on the other hand you have to be kind of mixing it up, otherwise your guests will run around point all the things Ikea out.

The week feels especially short since there was an other holiday in Valencia – San Vicente Martir. Of course we had to go, which made us experience the most scary Mascleta yet.

An other week has come to an end. The move to our new place is coming along in a nice manner. Above you can see one of the views from our terrace with La Lonja (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) in the background. The new place doesn’t have any furniture so it’s filled now just with boxes and a brand new 46" Full HD TV. Yes, we are the pathetic! LOL! Going furniture shopping over the weekend though !

We bought the Samsung LN46A650:

It’s soooo sweet. It’s way more that we wanted to spent on a TV but every cent was worth it. We watched Kung-Fu Panda on regular DVD and I was like .. BOAH! I can’t believe it’s not Blu-Ray!

Our new neighborhood is totally different …. it’s way more interesting. We have hookers working the streets just 300 meters away from the apartment. So taking the dog out will be always exciting from now. Kind of reminds me when we were living in Berlin – with prostitutes nearby … they all loved Chucky.

But I think I am done with moving for a while. We moved 6 times in the last 8 years. In those 8 years we jumped the Atlantic and between 3 different countries. IT’S ENOUGH NOW!

Finally the holidays are over – oh man! Combining all the different holidays (US and German Christmas and the arrival of the 3 Kings) we had 14 days we were in not working mode or at least half working mode.

The 6th of January is the big present day in Spain and in various cities they have huge colorful parade of the Kings marching in. In some tomes you can even hire kings to deliver your presents.

We went to see the 3 Kings parade here in Valencia, let me just mention that it has to do with a lot of candy …. lots!

Everyone made it nicely into the new year? This was probably first day of New Year’s Eve to welcome the new year without a firework – NONE! Secretly I was hoping there was still going to be one but I had to be happy with couple of grapes I had to force down my throat! To be honest I spit out the first one and skipped right to the Cava !

But Valencia made up for the missing fireworks and started the new year with the biggest Mascleta (Sound Fireworks). Which got rid of my hangover! Watch the video here.

Movie fans and freaks perk your ears. On Criticker (your favorite movie recommendation site) we launched a sweet new feature. We introduced Movie Collections on Christmas Eve (which was a mistake since there were still tons of bugs) but response by our users were overwhelming.

The last couple of days I have been thinking on how to thank Random Good Stuff supporters better. I tried Link Friday – Crazy Story Friday – Twitter Friday but all options took either too long or were not satisfying!

Let’s try to make everyone happy with reddit.

So I started now a RGS Friends Reddit. There I will keep track of supporting sites (fellow bloggers feel free to email me your posts with had the RGS credit url) and their blog posts I like. So if I add your story link (a real – full one – no tinyurl! A real link with a real anchor text. Which is very attractive to Google) on that reddit page your site will show up there and also instantly on the right Random Good Stuff sidebar within a widget – which looks like this:

This should send you some traffic that very moment!

Now readers you come in – keep an eye on that widget and check out the links. I promise that I will only link to cool posts and those links will be really worth to click on. And as you can see you can vote stories down or up and control who will be on the Reddit Friday post.

On Fridays I will from now on post a cool image, give an update on my personal life and or our other websites and publish 2 Top Lists.

The first one will be the top voted stories of RGS supporters from the past week. And it is important that there are votes because there is only space for 20 links and only the ones with the most votes will make it on that list.
