Not sure how I managed to get invited and being able to use Google+ this early. I think couple of people invited me at the same time and that I have a Gmail address actually helped. So what do I think about the new Google Facebook Killer? Well, I think it ROCKS … At first it took me a little to understand what Google Plus is even all about. Main purpose is to easily share information, news, photos, videos with your friends or the whole internet but doing it with more control about privacy. How is Google doing that?

Well with circles (which is probably my most favorite feature)

You just drag and drop all your contacts with in circles you can set up yourself. Then when you share information you can add circles, which allows just your family members to view the pictures you just put up or everyone in the office. Or even just those two circles combined.

An other big plus point is …. that Google + and Gmail go very well together. You log into your Gmail and you will get not annoying hints that there is something new going on on your G+! Tons of people use Gmail and without logging into an other account you can receive the information.

You might noticed the new G+ button on top of each RGS post. It’s like the Facebook LIKE but also helps to weigh Google search results better. So once you are on Google Plus , logged into your account you will notice the same button next too Google results but if it’s highlighted you will know that someone from your circles endorses this content.

There are couple of features I have not played around with much. Google Hangout – which let’s you chat with circles or share a your webcam with them too. And Sparks which is like a newsreader but without set RSS subscriptions. You just add tags and topics you are interested in and Google Sparks does the rest.

This all is very impressive considering that Google+ just got released. It’s as good as Facebook which needed 10 years to become what it is now. So watch out FB! I think over a year Google’s Social Platform will release many cool new features. (How about movie recommendations? Criticker would be psyched to take part)

And to all the nay sayers who don’t think that people will switch …. MYSPACE …. hello!!!!

This is my Google Plus Profile. Feel free to circle me and I will be more than happy to circle you back.

Set to revolutionise the way social networkers…er, socialise, this keyring-friendly USB device lets you swap contact details instantly. Simply pull out your Poken and ‘high five’ it with your new best friend’s. Clever RF technology then zaps the info between the devices, so next time you log on to your favourite site, your profiles are linked. Genius!
