As I mentioned not too long ago – there will be couple of changes in my life. It’s on! Things are almost all packed up, self storage booked, mail forwarding activated, car rental hired and first destination picked.

It will be Oviedo! We are leaving Valencia in 9 days (eeeek!) to spend 3 month in Oviedo and after that it’s all open!

What happened last night was pure magic. I will always remember this night. No, I’m not Spanish but being amongst above and below celebrations will be burned in my memories. It was the first time Spain won the World Cup and they did truly deserve it. The weren’t always the best team during the World Cup but they never lost their face.

Look at this!!! I was researching some short term rentals in Valencia and found this palace. I actually knew about this place and recognized the facade in a pictures. They advertise it as an apartment but is in fact a palace.

Kind of feel guilty but one of Mike’s Birthday gifts was me organizing a daytrip to Dénia (which is an hour south of Valencia) taking our bikes for a ride to Javea and from there taking a boat ride back to Dénia.

It was incredible – the day started with a major hangover (Spain won against Portugal) then exploring Denia, great landscape, nature, fauna, Paella, Beer, more awesome landscape, beach, cliffs, more beer, cruise, water, breeze and sun.

Loved it … and this was supposed to not a present for me.. hehe!

Yesterday was the third Formula 1 race – usually find the Valencia track more than boring. Not this time … thanks to the Webber crash. That’s what everyone wants to see anyways.

Today was a religious holiday in Valencia to honor the Virgin of the Forsaken – As you know Valencian’s are crazy for fireworks they set one up just for the Virgin Marie (see above). It’s short and sweet!
